Cervix length

Do anyone know the normal length of a cervix 16 weeks? I was told by a ER doctor that i have a short cervix of 2.5 cm but when i did my follow up with my obgyn she gave me an U/S and measured 3.5cm which she said is normal. Im still unsure tho. I dont see how my cervix is short when i had a full term pregnancy with my first son.

I had to have the stitches (cerclage) because of incompetent cervix (too short). I'm high risk as I lost my first child in my second trimester with no explanation.  Sometimes if a doctor is worried about a possible problem with short cervix they will recommend doing the cerclage earlier because it's less risky the earlier you get it. Good luck!
