Craigslist ??

I'm buying a baby crib from someone off Craigslist tomorrow.  Am pretty excited about it because it's nice and it's a good price.  Have anyone ever brought use furniture from Craigslist or ebay.  Am also living in a condo I found on Craigslist about 3 years ago and I love my place. I only have 11 more weeks to go and money is tight.

When was the crib originally purchased,  do you know?

All cribs sold in stores after June 2011 have current safety standards.  Cribs before that may have a drop side feature (that makes it easy to drop one side of the crib and lift a baby out or change a diaper),  may have wider distance between slats,  may have hardware that isn't fitted with engineering to keep it from coming loose,  may have a crib "floor" that can more easily fall out.  

If you know the crib was purchased in a store after June 2011,  that's a good thing.  If it's older than that,  google crib safety specs united states,  and see what you need to know.
