Gender surprise

My boyfriend doesnt want to know the gender until the baby gets here. Im ok with that but how are we supposed to buy things with out knowing. Does anyone have some ideas on gender neutral colors? Any advice would be helpful

Yellow, grey, brown, white, green. You'll see it when youre at the stores. Just look at things and ask yourself could i put this stuff on a boy and a girl. My baby will be a surprise. I already have all the big stuff from my last baby he was a boy. My stroller os black and green and my bed set is blue but its under the sea themed so i think its neutral and as for clothes im only buying up to 0-3 months. For my baby shower im asking for gift cards for clothes so I can buy other sizes after baby is born

Aside from extremely girly/frilly stuff or trucks/cars stuff, colours are pretty flexible. Blue for girls and blue for boys only helps strangers know what gender baby is and avoid embarrassment. So a boy with a purple top can be "defined" as a boy with a plush car if you want, or a girl with a blue striped top can wear a flower accessory. If you're comfortable doing so, just buy things that will look nice on a newborn-3 month old. Just remember, it wasn't that long ago that all babies wore dresses until they were older - toilet trained even.
