Daycare Moms

For moms who have or will have their children in daycare AND pay for it a little or a lot of out-of-pocket: what are some of the best qualities that you like about your childcare? If you are a working mom, what are the pros and cons of your child attending daycare? Also, what is the average cost of your childcare? (I know it varies by location.) I will be paying for it 100% out of pocket *sadly* and in West Palm Beach, Florida the price of childcare for my newborn is around $1,200 a month.

I am in the Orlando area.  I will pay a little under $1000 a month for a newborn.  My 2 yr old is just under $800 a month now, but will go down because they discount for multiple kids in one family. My daycare has cameras that we can watch all day. It is extremely clean (my daughter is rarely sick).  The owners are always there and know every kids name. My daycare also had a private elementary school, which we are strongly considering sending our kids to when they rack that point.

Sweet, I used to live in Orlando - well, technically Winter Park. =) I just found a place earlier out here in WPB and the price was $950, but they had terrible reviews. I hope to find something similar to your daycare facility; especially if they have continuing education.
