Diastasis Recti

Has anyone tried the griddle looking things to help your abdomen back together? I was wondering if they worked? What brand? And how soon after pregnancy to start wearing it? I've read mix reviews on them and wanted to see if anyone has personally used one!

Glad to help! Might as well put my insomnia to good use!

If the hospital u r going to specialises in O&G then there should b some stores in the hospital that sells the binder. If not, you can always check the hospital's pharmacy.

Hi Megan, it really depends on ur delivery. If you are having a vag delivery then it should be okay to go with the 'grippier' binder and you can start wearing it anytym u r ready.

For csection its best to wear a less 'grippier' binder (medela binder- soft, breathable material)
And you may need to wear it once you start walking after delivery. To support the loose abdominal skin frm sagging over ur csection wound that can cause discomfort/pressure/pain.

Also the binder's size matters so you may want to gradually 'downsize' ur binder as u loose ur pregnancy weight.

Hope this helps...
