With my first I was 5 days over due. At 3 days over do we walked 3 hours in the snow thinking I'd get myself dilating.  But when admitted at hospital with contractions 5 minutes apart I was still only 1 cm.
It depends on the case I'm guessing .

Omg this is my life exactly!! Lol I'm 39+2 and my OB checked my cervix for the first time today.. she agreed to do a membrane sweep too! But then she couldn't because I'm not dilated at all. I came home and cried haha

Not Dilating before is not a big deal. I was 2 cm dilated with my 1st 2 weeks before my due date and everyone kept saying "any day now!" Well my water broke 2 weeks later the day AFTER my due date. I didnt dilate at all with my 2nd and by the time my water broke I was already 3 cm. No stressing:)

I would walk. In 32w and have dilated to 1cm already. I did just a mile since I've been in so much pain lately with baby boy already being in the birth canal and pressing down.

My OB said the only thing that is proven to help is sex with orgasm. So get your partner working! Lol

Unfortunately it is entirely up to nature when your stay dilating and I think a lot of mus to be find that they aye only ever 1-2cm dilated before they start labour. Remember, active labour starts around 4cm, so you've plenty of time yet x

I'd say you are fine. Are you in a hurry? If so, start walking, besides it is good for your heart and exercise.
