Dog

Anyone else worried about their dog? I'm only a couple weeks away from my due date and my bf has a pittbull that's EXTREMELY attached to him. She will wine and wine if he shows anyone love but her. She is extremely spoiled and gets treated like a baby so it kinda worries me that she'll be jealous of the new baby and act out. Any advice ? Keep in mind it took her 5 months to stop chewing up my things after my bf and I got together!!

My dog and my sister were born in the same month and year he's older but when we brought him home she was tiny, I remember him coming up to her car seat and just looking wagging his tail and we let him sniff her feet and end of the car seat blanket after 5 years (they both just turned 5) they are inseparable! Which sometimes is scary but he protects her more than any of the rest of us. She TORTURES him and he dosnt do anything, just don't let the dog out of the picture make him part of it and let them bond in their own way because they will.

Get get used to being around babies if possible.
play the sounds of babies crying. You can even carry around a doll, practice teaching the pup to stay away from it/the crib etc
have someone bring a blanket the baby used before you get home.
pit bulls are actually well known to be very gentle with children and good protectors if you prepare them

Carry a baby doll and act like it's a real baby around her. Play sounds of baby crying so she can get used to it. Practice walking with her and a stroller as some dogs react weirdly to wheels. After baby arrives, but before you come home have bf or someone let her smell blanket or hat that has baby's scent on it. Did all these things with my previous dog that was the baby and he did great. He became just a dog, but was a good dog. I have a temperamental rescue dog now that I've been practicing with. I don't 100% trust her yet, but hoping for the best as i want to be her forever home if possible.
