Drinking coffee and baby's kicks?

Hi ladies. So, I was wondering if me drinking 1 cup of coffee a day can have an affect on baby's kicks at night?

Last night, my baby was kicking so strong that maybe it was because of the caffeine soda and coffee that I had earlier in the day.

Thanks for your input☺

I had a scan yesterday and the Dr was running late cuz of an emergency c-sestion, so me and my husband got us some coca cola while waiting. When the Dr did the scan, my baby was moving and kicking. I think it might have been cuz of the coke, hehehe.

Lol that's very nice. I come from a country (Colombia) where we drink coffee between 2-4 times a day lol

Thanks ph1207:) I'm enjoying my 1 cup of coffee every morning!  I'm almost 7 months now, and I'm not too worried about taking a little bit of caffeine everyday:)

I've been told and read on average you want to stay under 200 mg of caffeine daily whether it's coffee, soda, chocolate  etc. As long as you're under 200 mg, it is okay for baby. I worried a lot bc I would have coffee daily and so many pregnant women were very conservative about caffeine consumption but enjoy that cup and just be careful of other things with caffeine in it.

I drink coffee every single morning and my baby sleep well. maybe it could be because you are not used to drinking coffee, but I cup of coffee per day won't hurt your baby
