Due date is today and I am beyond miserable

Have been getting consistent contractions for the past couple of days. Paid an unpleasant trip to the hospital on Friday night & was sadly sent back Because I was only dilated 1 cm. Felt the same exact way, and maybe even worse since then and went to my regular doc yesterday morning. Still only 1 cm dilated and feeling horrible contractions and absolutely miserable. Have done everything I've possibly read up on and have been told to do to speed up this process and nada. I'm literally at my breaking point and crying non stop. Can I go to the hospital and ask to get an epidural if I'm only 1 cm? What else can I possibly do? about to lose my mind and currently on 6 hours of sleep since Friday due to these horrible contractions.

Bless ya. I had long labour and it is so tiring. Get rid of ur tears put some groovy music on and dance round the room like a loon. U need to keep ur happy up. Keep moving, take a walk to the shops for some Lucozade and some sweets. Keep busy and keep moving. Gravity is ur friend. Hope everything goes well x

Your body needs to produce oxytocin. As long as you are stressing and upset, you are keeping that from happening. Your body naturally produces oxytocin when you feel happy, relaxed and loved. I know you are uncomfortable, I've done this myself a number of times. However, you need to find a way to pull your self together and try to relax. Trust me, it will make labor and delivery far easier for you.
Go take a warm bath. Go get a pedicure. Do some last minute shopping with a friend or loved one. Go have lunch at your favorite place. Curl up on the couch with loved ones and watch a funny or romantic movie.
I promise, as soon as you release those stress hormones, your labor will start to regulate. Plus, stress hormones make pain hurt worse.
