Emergency Room

I went to the emergency room BC I couldn't make it to my docs office in another state. Im experiencing pain and the baby keeps dropping very low. I got an ultrasound done and the ladies doing it said it looks as tho I was having contractions. The doctor here has told me it seemed inappropriate for me to be here due to the fact that I have a cerclage so he has went off to call my OB. I'm really confused, any advice or opinions? I'm 15 weeks

I know my hospital saw me in the ER till I was 20 weeks then sent me to L&D and i think that's how most hospitals work now. So maybe that doctor just doesn't want to deal with it. Even when I was having contractions bc of my short cervix the er saw me but called my doctor. We're never rude like that doctor though. But once again. You did the right thing especially with your situation!

Agree.  That doc seems like an ***. I do know that at my hospital they don't allow regular OB patients in the ER though.  ER doesn't want them there and OB doesn't want patients exposed to the germs coming through the ER. If there is an emergency at my hospital OB patients go straight to L & D for care.

Maybe the hospital you're at has a similar practice.

My opinion is that nobody should ever be told it's wrong for them to be at the hospital. That stuff really pisses me off. You and your baby are more important than some doctors opinion on Wethersfield you should be there or not. You did the right thing by going. I hope you and the baby are okay! Stick in there hun. ♡
