Im sooooo sorry you have to deal with this!!! I always use
Patchouli oil mixed with water and spray it on everything!!!

I manage two large apartment complexes and if it is a property management company you rented from they should have a maintenance emergency number. They need to call out an exterminator asap and pay for it. Please do not bug bomb as the chemicals the exterminator uses may cancel each other out. Fleas really should be treated by an exterminator if they are bad. If you cannot get a hold of the pm company I would hire one out and then provide a reciept to your landlord. Hope this helps and good luck!!

Buy a bunch of nightlights.  Set a cereal bowl of water mixed with Dawn dish soap under every nightlight.  The outlets need to be near the floor.  Every morning when you wake up, the bowl will have a bunch of dead fleas in it.  Keep the bowls and nightlights out until you don't see fleas in them anymore.  At least a week.  You want to make sure that any eggs in the carpet that hatch are killed in the solution, so that is why you keep them out for a week.  This is a tried and true method that I have used many times in my home.  It really works and it is safer than any chemical bomb.  Especially if you are pregnant and you have a little girl.  I promise this works!  Make sure you vacuum every day.  D earth is safe and kills them in the carpet as well.  It destroys their exoskeleton and dehydrated them.  But it probably isn't safe to breath in.

I have also heard if you sprinkle salt all over the carpets if you have them and leave it a few days then vacuum it can help. The fleas will eat the salt become dehydrated and die

My cats got fleas really bad last year, and once I put the medicine on them, the fleas just started dying off on their own pretty quickly. But I also got a couple of cans of flea powder that I sprinkled on the floors in all the rooms and vacuumed it up after about 4 hours. All the fleas were gone within a week and I didn't have to bomb or anything. So if you don't have any untreated  pets then the floor powder stuff is great and a lot less hassle. Worked for me at least. Good luck!!

We had such a bad infestation we called an exterminator. I would suggest that instead. After they spray vacuum 3 times an day and put all blankets in the dryer before using them

Fleas are extremely hard to get rid of. :( I moved into a new house that had fleas and I am super allergic to them... it was terrible.. we didn't move anything in the house yet which was fortunate for us.
So what we did was:
Flea bomb all the bedrooms with carpets and the downstairs living room, the next day we had a friend come and O-zone the house. That is pretty much like a vacuum that sucked all the oxygen out. (We also had a terrible burnt Smokey smell coming from the fireplace that the machine got rid of.)
Then finally vacuumed the rugs and let the place air out on the third day.
We did all of this though and yet the bastards still survived... the good news is that they are travelers. They will come stay for a little while, feed and move along. It's the eggs that you want to really get rid of. We were successful with that though. :)
Good luck!

We had fleas when I was pregnant with my daughter.  Get a friend and have them set bug bombs off then ask them to Vaccum the house and furniture and clean the kitchen. While they do that get gloves and a mask bag up all linens and clothes and take them to a laundromat and wash everything in super hot water.
