Exclusive pumpers

How many mamas on here will be mainly pumping breast milk for their babies? Unfortunately the hospital i delivered at gave my son a pacifier resulting in nipple confusion ... I still try breast but he gets frustrated. I will be returning to work in a month and would like some tips any tips about pumping. Increasing supply, how much to freeze for an 8 hour work day, best freezer bags, etc.

Thanks

I was told by others that ziploc bags with the double seal can be used and that they are great

MrsKarstens....that was the first pump I used. I liked the comfort of the pump but it is not one I would recommend for exclusive pumping. When I got the Medela my supply almost doubled. I'd say spend the extra and get the Medela.

I pumped for 8 months with my daughter. She never learned how to latch. You have to invest in a good pump from day one. Medela really was amazing. I tried another before I got the Medela and my supply suffered. Then I got the Medela and it was amazing. Definitely use a double electric and I ordered a second set of pieces/accessories in case I couldn't clean them right away. It's a lot of work but worth it. I'm hoping we have better luck breastfeeding with my son but if we have issues I'm already prepared with the pump. Make sure and drink lots of water and maintain a good pump schedule. I pumped every two hours in the beginning for several weeks. If you look on pinterest or google pumping session length you'll find some good advice. Good luck!
