I got pregnant in college and finished 12 days before I had my son.
I got pregnant my last year of nursing school, it was tough going to clinicals and class nauseated. I made it through. Didn't take a day off. With that being said my husband was awesome. I also had a good group of class mates who supported me. Don't be discouraged, it can be done. You have to weigh the good vs bad, and do what's best for you. It was my 4th child so I knew what to expect.
Its my first pregnancy and I don't have a doctor out here because I have a medical card which only works in the stage I live in. I have to fly home for my visits. That being said, I've already had to go to the emergency room once and that bill is coming out of pocket. I think it's best if I can be close to my doctor versus being out here and not having one.
I'm 33 weeks and doing externship at the dental office I have 5 more weeks left i thought of taking time off but just rather stick threw till I'm done
Can you transfer to a school in your home state?
I'm in the process of looking into that now. I just thought I would be able to finish this semester out here but it's proving to be too stressful without my doctor.
I had my son my 3rd year of college and managed to create a schedule that allowed my bf to work and for me to finish school. It was exhausting buy I did it! I would look into transferring to a school close to home, I'm currently going for my masters and I am 9 weeks pregnant. Guess getting an education helps me get pregnant haha
Didn't have a baby in college but went through a divorce and it was too much to deal with and continue school. I took a leave & I don't regret it. My priorities needed to be straightened out in order for me to finish. I took time, got into a new routine, and went back to school about a year later. I finished with higher grades and no issues. Just don't wait too long to go back or you could have issues with credits transferring/changing courses.
I am lucky now to be able to work part-time with my first baby and cherish it. He changes so fast! My life is balanced. Do what you need to and don't regret the time spent whichever way you choose. On a side note--i don't think as evenly while pregnant. I'm forgetful, emotional, & ill. I'm actually ditzy! That never would have worked with my degree.
Thank you for your responses everyone!
