Flu while 38 weeks pregnant?

I woke up sick with the flu this morning in addition to 2 others in ny household. Can this negatively affect my baby girl?? Is there anything I can or should take to help?

It is safe. My doctor told me to take it and my baby's fine.

Nyquil is not safe during pregnancy. I would talk to your doctor. If caught early enough they will put you on Tamaflu or something to get rid of it quicker. The flu won't hurt your baby but will make you feel awful. I had it during my first pregnancy. I thought it was a bad cold and shrugged it off for over a week and when I finally went to the doctor it was too late for meds and I had to fight it off on my own.

Oh and also, my son was born perfectly healthy and remains healthy at almost a month old! So I doubt the flu is gonna hurt your little girl

I got the flu at 38 weeks too, it was so awful! Take nyquil and use some breathe right strips, that did wonders for me :)

You need to go get tested for the flu. If you and your family actually have the flu and not just a cold, you all need to be treated for it. I had the flu at 12 weeks and my OB put me on medication for it. Unfortunately, I lost my baby, but the doctor said it wasn't necessarily because of the flu. Go to the doctor!!!
