For already moms

I know this is kind of an odd question but how much did you bleed after birth? Was it excessive and annoying? Heavy but tolerable? Not terrible but noticable? How long did it last?

Had very heavy bleeding for 2 days, then like a heavy to medium period for another week or so... After that it was on and off (random big clot at 2 weeks, very little for a week, light pink spotting for a week, nothing for a week, a bit more spotting, pink, red, yellowish etc) finished at 5 weeks for both births, but had spotting first times I had sex (8 and 7 weeks).

Massaging your uterus does help to get the blood out, and bring your uterus back to noraml. Which helps the bleeding to slow down. As well as breastfeeding, it helps your uterus contract and push out the blood. I didn't bleed long I can't remember now but I know at my 6 week check up I wasn't bleeding at all. And I remember the first week was the worst, but not that bad. Move around as much as you can handle, it will help get it out.

I think it's different for everyone and for each pregnancy. And that's just my opinion. Only because after my first child I bled for a little over 2 weeks, nd with my second child I bled for only a week. Though my nurse for my second, was really focused on making sure I got out as much as she massaged nd pushed on my belly. Which I found surprisingly sore nd more painful than labor. Lol

Mine was period like for about a week. The nurse pushed a lot on my stomach right after to help get a lot out I was thankful for that:)

Mine was horrible for a week. Changing an overnight pad every 2 hours, blood clots the size of limes...it was awful. The following 2 weeks were more like a normal heavy flow period then 1 light week and 1 week of spotting.

I had a really good nurse that while I was in the hospital pushed and massaged my belly that helped release a ton while I was in the hospital. I only bleed for about 10 days and the rest was spotting. Everyone is different but just remember take home all those undies they provide you with and pads. You will be so happy to have them.

It was like a heavy period at first then mine became very mild.  Annoying because it lasts longer than your period. I think maybe a month, but the final week is v light.  I ached alot the first week, but by the end of week 2 I was feeling good.
