They have better and improved testing that came out in the beginning of this year or so. We wanted to be prepared so we went ahead with the level 2 sonogram and new improoved blood test. we also had a rare disease test as well. I think its good to have so u can prepare for the just incase.  Good luck!

I chose no because you cant do anything about it if there was something wrong. I feel if i was stressed about it my whole pregnancy that would take away from a moment that is supposed to be very happy.

I have HME syndrome, its hereditary and there is 50% chance my child will have it. The doctor asked me to have the test and explained if its positive that i can terminate the pregnancy. I refused the testing because i wouldnt terminate the pregnancy even if it was positive, so there is no reason to do the test.

With my first pregnancy I got a positive result for down syndrome. Turns out my baby was perfectly fine and healthy. I worried for no reason. I'm pregnant with my second and I am refusing the testing this time. It'll save some added stress this time around. Everyone's different. Good luck

We chose to have it. It wouldn't change anything for us, but felt like we wanted to be able to educate and prepare our selves just in case.

We refused all genetic testing. We already have DS in our immediate family so already had the 'what if' discussion before we conceived. Testing would make no difference to our decisions.
