It's tough at first but it dues get easier.  I use to break down and cry at least once a day.  Now it's easier you just have to count your carbs. If you keep a good diet you will not have a gigantic baby.  I know it's hard to not easy what you want when you are pregnant, but seriously it does get easier.

I am a type 1 diabetic and have been for 13 yrs best suggestion is to cut out things like bread white and wheat look for a substitute or make your own, cut out noodles rice an potatoes these things are quick to shoot your sugars up high and stay up. I am also doing this until pregnancy is over and my A1c is down to 5.7! You can look for some tips if u look at the paleo diet

Hi i have gestational diabetes too. I am 30 weeks pregnant. Don't let it worry you guys. Stress will only make things worse. Tell your wife to exercise 30 mins everyday and have a good diet. I'm sure hospital and midwife will look after her too. I have been walking atleast 10 mins everyday and eating healthy and i am doing preety good with my diabetes.
