Glucose Test in 2 Weeks . any advice. ?

My doctor told me to eat a bacon and egg biscuit the morning of my glucose test . And What should I expect ? Most ppl say not to eat the night before the glucose test... but my doctor told me to.

I worked for an obgyn for two years it is perfectly okay to eat before your test you can even eat breakfast just don't go eat anything super sugary is all I had kiks right before mine my glucose was 119.  You don't want 131 or higher if it's that then it's a 3 hour test and that test is the he all end all for gestational diabetes

Thanks ladies. Just nervous everyone says the glucose test is nasty. What kind of drink should I ask for ?

There are different tests one is a screen and is non fasting. The other is a tolerance test which is fasting. If your Dr said to eat then its prob the screen you are going for which is why he'd have suggested the protein breakfast. Too much sugar can result in a false positive for the test.

As far as I know your not supposed to eat but if the dr say so do what the doctor says...
