Thank you i don't feel as silly anymore for asking lol
With my first I had stitches abs sterile stripes I had to leave on for two weeks
Sutures are a medical term for your average known "stitches".
For mine the did disolving stitches on the inside and staples on the outside
I was glued and healed really well.
my first i had staples. my second they used dissolving stitches on the inside and glue on the outside. i loved the glue. i healed really well. you cant see my scar. and i didnt tear open.
I've seen both stitches, and staples. Never seen the glue used firsthand, but I guess it really depends on the doctors preference.
With my first two they did stitches and with my 3rd c-section they did glue...so I guess with my 4th they are using glue
Wow!!! I never had that happen, I have 6 previous cesarean deliveries!! I bend, jump, walk, cook and pick up my kids right away!!! And yet never had either of my incisions just open. Ouch! But it's common for the outing of an incision to separate a bit, nothing really bad!! It's vert uncommon for it to separate internally and if this was to occur....you would know it!! It has happened especially to ladies who have thin blood any many of those cases the lady falls in a light a coma for a few hours or days, due to the pain.
I had both. But the same day I came home from the hospital I bent down and i riped my incision open. but it's not as bad as people imagine it would be. If it happens you see the fatty tissue and actually I don't think I even bled. Because when they cut you open they cauterize it at the same time they just glued me back up and said don't bend forward for a couple days. Gee ok! Lol
I had a similar dream to your but I dreamed my staples got attached to a pair of my sweat pants.. ugh!!! You can only imagine the gruesome details lol!!! But they are just silly dreams, I still double check my clothing after having my cesarean deliveries :D
Actually they do use glue, it's called dermabond (medical super glue). If it's your first or second cesarean delivery they may use dermabond and disposable sutures. If your like myself and are expecting your 7th cesarean delivery then they will use a little butt of dermabond, disposable sutures and staples. Dermabond is extremely successful in closing incisions safely there are cases of it causing an allergic reaction but never that it separates or losses it's strength!! So no worries!!!! :)
Lol girl why would they use glue! Stitches is the answer
