Great news about breast pumps! :D

I was stressing so much over buying a breast pump until I found out that I can get a free one through my insurance. I wish I knew this 12 years ago when I had my daughter. I called my insurance customer service and they gave me all the info I needed. I just have to get a referral from my doctor sent to the company that provides the breast pump and pick it up. The only catch is, I have to wait until I'm 36 weeks. No biggie, I only have 7 weeks to go :)

My insurance covered a free breast pump. It's a double breast pump, electric, came with 2 bottles and nipples, and about 200 storage bags. With a carrying case. My husband called when i was 10 weeks to make sure it was true. And 3 wks later it came in the mail.  I thought i was going to have to wait until a month before the baby is due. But i guess not.

I have Health Plan of Nevada. Yeah WIC has been around for a long time and they really help pregnant women.

if any of you are on the WIC program they provide you with a free breast pump as well. I would highly suggest WIC if you arent on it yet anyway. great helpful program!!!

My insurance says they will cover it if I'm working but its not covered if you aren't working. That's so dumb. If I'm working I can purchase my own.

It's awesome yours helps out.  Most don't. Some only do if you have issues or baby goes to NICU.
