Ever had an all natural birth, no epidural? What did it feel like and how bad is the actual pain? Labor scares the death out of me lol

I have 3 kids, I was induced with all 3 but never had an epidural.  the pain was well pain. but it was bearable. I plan on not getting.an.epidural again for this baby. I figure if women did it for so long without them why can't I. God forbid something happen to my child I want to be able to feel everything just in case it's my only memory.

I did and I mean of course it hurt really really bad not going to beat around the bush but you really do forget about the pain as soon as your baby is in your arms! My daughter is now 3 and I'm 31 weeks and I'm not having any drugs again.

It does hurt alot but it is worth it!  The worst for me was the unknown.  I dont like surprises so i asked a zillion questions while in labour.  At one point I actually asked the nurse if what i was feeling was the ring of fire.  When she said yes i said "oh good this is the worst it is going to get"  i didnt like not know what stage i was at and asked after pretty much every push if i was doing it right and if that push made a difference. If it helps I did it naturally with my first and hope to do the same again with my second! This time i hope to be a little more relaxed and go with the flow.

The burning makes sense since I've heard it called "The ring of fire" lol.. I'm just scared.. My first child was an emergency C-Section.. I've never even felt a contraction! This one will more than likely be a C-Section as well, but in the off chance that it isn't, I want to know what's potentially ahead.

I did with my second pregnancy,  nothing until my water broke at midnight went right to the hospital and i asked but they told me i was going to fast by time it kicks in ill already be holding my baby,   and this lady is right.  Pushing hurts like no other!!! Burns so badly but it went quick.  What ppl didn't tell me is after birth. When using the bathroom.  Its burn like no other as well.  But by time baby is a month old you'll forget all about it and be glad its its all worth it in the end  <3

If you have a completely normal onset of labor (not induced) and you are healthy and strong,  you have a great chance of getting through it without any medications.

As a labor coach,  I've seen women sail through labor and delivery with only a moderate amount of pain,  that they can relax and breathe through.

There is no way to get a 7 pound baby from inside you to outside you without pain.  So be prepared for that.

But if you have a great attitude,  and you're in fit shape and are dedicated to doing it naturally,  it's very likely you will.

Best wishes.

I found labor was not too bad. My first delivery I had phentonol, but my second was drug free. To me it's more like pressure than pain, something that is totally possible if you're not tense and stressed. If you can breathe deeply through contractions, rather than hold your breath and fight them, they're not only less painful, but also work faster. Of course, they are still a lot of work. And once you hit transition, they get really hard. But if you keep the mindset that contractions are necessary and each one brings you closer to your baby, it goes a long way toward making it a positive experience. I hope this helps.

I had no drugs with my first.  I was lucky and the pain only went for 6 hours, the worst part for me was the pushing. It burns, oh it burns like nothing i have ever felt before until the head is out. I was screaming at them to cut it out. The midwife was kinda laughing going itll be a while before we cut it out dear. In the end you just kinda go well i gotta get the baby out to stop this. To me im freaking out about doing it again but once you hold your babg you honestly forget how bad it is. We are meant to give birth this way so its not unbearable.  But again mine was reasonably quick and i couldnt imagine the pain for say 24 hours or something.
