I don't like my husband's name either but our first born son is a jr. I feel it is an honor for a man to have a jr. I did it out of respect for hubby
My husband's name is Jack and he is already the fourth one in his family. His dad, grandpa and great grandpa were all named Jack! So when we found out we were having a boy, (and the first grandson) we had to decide if we should break the tradition and do something different. Everyone was really supportive of our decision to go with Jackson. It turned out fo be quite fitting since he is indeed "Jack's son" and keeps the tradition but with a little twist and gives him his own identity. Perhaps you can find a happy medium. Maybe you can name him "Junior" or have it be the middle name so as not to be confused who you're referring to when you call his name.
I think the Jr would be nice. And plus there are plenty other little nicknames that he can have along the way.
My husband and I have two girls and I named both . now I'm expecting a boy and I'm letting him have his jr. So why not
Aww. This may be his first and only son. I would do it. I'm actually doing it with my son. You guys have 3 girls. Let him have this one
My first was a son and my husband wanted him to be a Jr(Jesus) and I didn't want to we came to an agreement since my first name has an A my sons first name is Angel and his middle name is Jadiel for Jesus(husband). Now I am currently pregnant with my second but having a girl and I let him pick her name since I didn't allow him the Jr with my son.
