He's Here, Pure Perfection!

My baby boy arrived Wednesday November18,2015. I wasn't due until December 6th but Tuesday I got a call from my ob with my liver test results and some of my levels required that I be induced so that same day I came in around 3 they got me preped and ready to get started around 5p. My beta strep test came back positive so I required antibiotics which they decided to give me 2 rounds of before they started the pitocin so at 6:30 I started the first found and began walking and at 10:30 I got the second round. They started my pitocin at 11:45 just before midnight and I tried to get some sleep as contractions slowly began. At 3 in the morning the contractions had started to get pretty painful so I started to walk again hoping to calm them down but by 5 I needed my epidural It wasn't nearly as painful as I worked myself up for and by then it wouldn't have mattered if it was my contractions were getting closer together but I wasn't dilating although I've been 3cm and 70% effaced for the last 2 weeks so when my doctor came in Thursday morning around 10 he broke my water and I immediately started to dilate it took until 2:30 for him to drop all the way into the birth canal and I felt this over bearing need to push causing intense pain in my rectum so the anesthesiologist came in and gave me another big dose of epidural at 3:00 by 3:30 I was fully dilatd and ready to push the nurse and I did a couple practice pushes before my doctor came in it took me 20 minutes to deliver my little prince Shannon Johnson he came into this world at 4:06pm weighing 6lbs3.4oz 19in long and absolutely beautiful it was the greatest moment of my life and I couldn't be happier my bundle is finally here happy and healthy I am truly blessed.
