High Risk

I recently took a blood screening and the doctors told me my baby is at high risk for birth defects such as down syndrome etc. They explained it's not a yes or no its just high risk. I'm very concerned and leaving everything in God's hand any advice or comments?

They had told me I was 96 in a 100 chance to have a child with down syndrome. But then they did a different test on my boy that said he didn't at all and it also told me his sex: )

This happend when I was pregnant with my son. The doctors told me that my blood test said that my son had a higher risk of having down syndrome. My doctor then procedded to tell me that it was only a 1 out of 100 chance but that did not stop me from being a mess my whole pregnancy. Luckily, my son came out perfectly normal. Don't worry too much I am sure everything will be fine.

I had the same thing last week. I went to a genetic councilor who did further testing by blood which was completely my choice. They also have an emneotic fluid test (not sure the exact name) where they take fluid from your stomache straight from the baby, was not mychoice. They took another ultrasound to view the heartbeat and facial features. Its common for the test to come back positive and it be false from my understanding, because it happened to my sister as well. Both of our babys are ok.
