My contractions were so bad in comparison that I could barely feel the epidural needle go in.

Boo I'm the bad seed...
I had a bad epidural experience
I went and got it....they had to poke me 5 times before they finally put it in. (I kept moving)
I was in severe pain for the next two hours until the Dr realized the epidural was not in right...had it removed
Again they had to poke me another 3times until it finally worked & when it worked I was in heaven! Best thing ever!
I will have it again this next pregnancy, like someone else said I am more scared of having the baby without the epidural!

I didn't think it hurt, I was so afraid of moving that I really concentrated on my breathing. Freaked my husband out but, it really wasn't bad at all. It's just very surreal, because if done correctly it does provide instant relief.

I had an epidural last pregnancy  and it wasn't so bad.  But for whatever reason I'm afraid this time of getting paralyzed. Not trying to scare you.  It's very rare.  But I'm all worried now.

Good luck and congratulations. I'm not going to sugar coat it, getting the epidural hurts like hell!! However, the relief you feel immediately after is life saving and I didn't remember the pain from getting it. If you choose to have it, just remember to breathe.

I was more scared of doing it with out the drugs. Js I have a high pain tolerance but labor with out an epidural is to extreme for me.
