You may also want to take a cute outfit for pictures. Our hospital had a photographer to come in and take newborn pics in the room. We didn't do that because you have to pay for it, but even if you don't, you might want something special for pictures.
The hospital has onesies, hats, blankets, diapers, wipes, and almost everything else you'll need for baby. All you'll need is a going home outfit and blanket for baby. Maybe an extra outfit if you're taking hospital pictures. You should pack for yourself mostly! Good luck!
That depends on your hospital. Many require you to use their the shirts and blankets until it is time to go home. That means one of each. I usually pack one blanket, a couple birth cloths and two outfits in different sizes.
Other hospitals allow you to dress baby how you like each day. Talk too your provider to see what is allowed at your particular hospital.
