How should my belly feel?

When I first found out I was pregnant, my belly was harder than it was before. Now I'm 10 weeks, I feel like I can feel how tender it is when I lay on my side. Should I be getting harder? Also, my tummy seems to be getting rounder in general. I know I shouldn't be showing yet, but I get really bloated too, and my tummy is lifting too. Is that normal because this is my first baby? I also noticed my pants don't fit me like they used to. They still close, but they seem really uncomfortable now. I think that's why my belly doesn't feel as hard because squeezing my baby.

Thanks. I noticed that if I lay on my back it's really not that hard but when I'm on my side I can feel the firmness. I know for a fact that If I was just fat my tummy wouldn't feel firm at all. Because I get so bloated I feel I get a sharp pain on my right lower side. I don't know if that's normal too

In the beginning your belly might feel firm due to gas and bloating and also the changes in your body. I found that my belly became firmer and firmer over time.

Oops....didn't mean to press that :) anyways  30 weeks tomorrow and sometimes my belly feels hard and very high and others it is pretty squishy and I don't know where he went.  Just depends on their position and if your bloated.  I still wear the same pants but I'm sure once he drops lower it won't be as comfortable. In the early weeks I wore more of my stretchy waist pants because I was more bloated and they weren't as comfortable.
