I need answers!

Okay so this may be a stupid FTM question but why on Earth do we pregnant woman have so many restrictions?! I went to the tattoo shop to get my nose pierced and they turned me away because I'm pregnant.. there was another incident when I went to the nail salon with my mother and they refused to give me a pedicure because I'm pregnant and this morning I was about to dye my hair Burgundy and was told by several family members that I would be wrong for doing that yo my child. My question is WHY? As grown women, why can't wrong decide what we feel is safe and unsafe for our children. I would never put my baby in harms way but I honestly feel that a lot of these ridiculous rules are going completely overboard.

Noone wants to be responsible if something happens. Its funny because you can still go to the bar and have a drink.

My biggest thing was urgent care turned me away because I was pregnant.  I went for something that didn't have to do with my pregnancy

Getting you're nails nd hair done is safe. Im 37 weeks pregnant nd im always getting my nails done. But as for the piercing no tattoo shop will do it for you. My step dad is a tattoo artist nd ive tried getting him to repierce my madusa and he said no. The reason for that it's not cause you can get an infection  but because of the pain. Same for tattoos. Tattoos are safe to get the ink doesnt harm the baby but the pain will. Therefore tattoo shops will not do it . (Well the shop he works at doesnt allow it)

The hair dying should be fine, but in inhaling the chemicals it could cause issues. Just be in a very very well ventilated area if you are going to do it. The piercing and such is correct, too. As people have stated already above. Possible infections. The peddie.... that is honestly just someone being way too picky and over cautious. That is kinda obsurd. I have never heard anything about not getting nails and feet done, and this is my 4th (6th) pregnancy.

You can get your nails and hair done, because if your in a well ventilated area then the fumes cannot harm your baby. Getting piercings done can cause infections and that will harm your baby, same with getting tattoos while pregnant. As for pedicures, i don't see anything wrong with that. It's relaxing :)

The piercing I can see just in case you get an infection but I still get my nails done every 3 weeks and dye my hair. I don't see the problem as long as there's venilation when dealing with fumes and chemicals. I think many people are just overly cautious when pregnant. I personally don't restrict from doing much of anything and I eat whatever I want and oh my god I drink coffee every morning too!!! My baby is perfectly fine but then again I've never had issues with pregnancies so maybe that's why I'm more lax. Your the one carrying the baby. You call the shots :)

The nails and hair should of been fine. In a professional setting, it should be ventilated enough to not harm your baby. However, the piercing can easily cause an infection that would harm your baby.
