If you have nobody to throw a shower...

Do you still have one? Is there even a point to register for items? My husband & I were thinking to just have a casual get together but idk. I don't know the etiquette for these things, nor do I have any sisters to take the reins.

I know that if you register at toys r us you do get 10% of everything left on it. Not sure about target. I registered at both. It makes it easier for allot of individuals to know what you want or need.

I think you should have one, a casual get together would be perfect it doesnt have to be this huge nice thing you spend alot of money on, just a get together to help with all the things you need for baby. Register the things you need and do like a light lunch around 11 or just desserts and drinks around 2 try not to do anything around 12 or 5 because people ecpect to be fed if so and thats more money.

I'm pregnant with my first and I didn't have anybody to throw me a baby shower either. I don't really have many friends and I'm not so close to family so I just went ahead and planned everything myself. It was a bit overwhelming but I honestly liked it like that just because I knew what I wanted and it was easier to do without having someone else throwing in their ideas.

If you do a registry at target they give you a little goody bag with some samples..pretty cool actually. Like they give you some diapers, wipes, a bottle, a pacifier, and coupons for their store. And that 10% off, I think it's 15 but you have to buy it 2 months before your due date. And they'll also send you more coupons too. So even if you don't have a shower you can still make a registry. Who knows, your friends and family Will buy you stuff. And having a little get together will be nice for you and your hubby. A little something yo show your baby some love before they arrive :)

I heard if you make a registry at Target, even if nobody buys things you can buy yourself & get 10% off. I wonder if that's true?

Same here.. and sadly dont have friends. My co workers was planning one but since i hate being center of attention and i dont want to inconvenience people buying me things i said no.
On my first babg we had a baby regstry but lol sadly even the closest person to us my MIL ddnt buy anything from there. I realized whats the point for this 2nd baby. Anyway it feels good to be able to provide for my baby all by just me abd my husband.
