Sometimes it can be very hard to find in men! My friends boyfriend gave it to here n it took him being tested twice for it to come up positive.

This was written by the CDC. The center for disease control.  Misinforming people will only allow them to be able to get away with infidelity.  If a woman or man contracts this disease and has not shared towels, washcloths, bathing suits,  etc. then it was sexually transmitted

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by a one-celled protozoan called Trichomonas vaginalis. Trichomonads thrive in the warm, moist environment of the vagina and urethra (urinary canal). It is estimated that 3-5 million cases occur each year in the United States.
HOW IS IT TRANSMITTED?
Trichomoniasis is a very specific infection that only develops if the organism enters the vagina or urethra. It is transmitted sexually through penis-to-vagina intercourse or through vulva-to-vulva contact.
The likelihood of transmitting the disease outside of sexual contact is very low. However, trichomonas can survive for several hours in moderate temperature water, semen, wet sponges, and vaginal secretions. It has been found to survive on wet towels and bathing suits used by infected women. Therefore, it is best not to share towels, washcloths, or bathing suits, especially if you know you are infected.

Trich can live outside the body for up to 45min. It can be spread through sharing clothes or towels that touch down below. It is however a sexually transmitted disease,  but with this one you can get it from clothing or towels as well. And though the percent lowers it is still likely.  On top of that you can get it from the toilet seat, once again your chances are lower, but there is a possibility.

You can also get trich from using an unclean towel at the gym or someplace similar, public restrooms and any place where you can get close contact to that area.

Did your doc not write an Rx for your husband?  I think it's common practice in married couples or monogamous non married couples to write a prescription for the partner when you are diagnosed.

I actually have it too n also a yeast infection. Ur doctor will prescribe u medicine n it will go away. Ur bf needs the medicine too. Or else u will get it again. I was freaking out too when I found out but my doctor said it is again std n can only be through sexy al contact. N it causes u to have yeast infections n discharge a lot. I read online that sometimes they can't see it at first. U could've had it for years n not have known. The yeast infection could've brought it out or something. Just get the medicine n everything will be fine.

I'm a nurse...women can have an sti for many months and have it remain dormant without showing signs or showing a positive result.  Men show signs and test positive within weeks

Yes if u have it he has it probably but it does not come from only sex it can come from infections to i had it too once it will be safe if you both get treated so it doesn't get passed on over an over again u will be fine just get it treated...
