Induction, I rather not!

I am 39 + 1 Weeks and my cervix is still closed. Baby is head down and low, dr said she was in position. He scheduled me to be induced on May 18th if she is still being stubborn. I would prefer to go into labor on my own. I understand that when baby is ready she will come BUT this pelvic pain is getting the best of me! Any suggestions or things I could do to speed the process up?

Nipple stimulation has been proven for some woman to start labor. The stimulation mimics baby feeding which releases the labor chemical oxytocin (tthink that's the one). It also causes uterine contractions. Try not to lounge on the couch with your hips back, you want to keep your knees lower then your hips, it keeps baby engaged with your cervix which also releases the lavor hormone. Last but not least, intimacy, nit just (but that's a good one lol), skin to skin will also release the hormone, even just hugs with clothes. Best of luck.

Try some clary sage EO in a bath, on your tummy and ankles. Try the child pose, crunches and walking :) otherwise they will set their own date. I have a stubborn boy who refuses to respond to my prodding so all I can do is wait
