Labor at home for as long as possible, this is so important. I see people on these forums running to the hospital at the first signs of labor, you are at a much higher risk for intervention the earlier you head in. My doctors advice was 3-1-1, a contraction every 3 minutes, 1 minute long, for atleast 1 hour. if your waters broke that rule changes cause you are in danger of a prolapse cord, so I would head in just to get checked to make sure. Also practice breathing techniques, and remember that the pain is twmporary, you just have to get threw the contraction your experiencing right then. Buy some books on natural birth, personally I got Ina Mays guide to child birth, fantastic book. And also hypnobirthing, some of it wasn't for me, but has a lot of techniques to pull from. Best of luck.
I had a natural birth with my second son although it wasn't what I wanted I just dilated from a 4 to a 10 within minutes. I can say from my own experience that it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be but eeveryone's pain tolerance Is different. Stay calm and focus and your breathing
