I don't think you need to put them out, just make sure if baby is sleeping keep the door closed. I mean ur gunna be supervising your baby at all times so I unless they start getting aggressive then I wouldn't worry.
And my oldest male cat is very jealous. When i got my other cat, he attacked me and the other cat several times before he got used to her.
Cats may get in the babies face and smother him because they smell milk on him. My cats are very affectionate so they love to be all over you. That worries me. Along with the fact that they can cause allergies.
I don't get it, what exactly do you think your cats are going to do to your new babies? I have a dog & I'm not going to treat him any differently just because my son will be around (he's never had lots of attention jus average so I don't fear of a jealous attack).

I hadn't put any thought into putting my fur babies outside until a few weeks ago, my know it all monster-in-law informed me of how disgusting my cats are (they get regular baths and i keep their box clean)and that i am a terrible and selfish mother if i don't throw them out. I've had them for 2 years and they are definitely part of the family.
I wouldn't personally stick my poor kitty outside in this weather. I understand protecting your child though, just keep an eye out for the cat, it should be alright.
I have an inside cat and had no intention of putting him outside. Hes part of the family too. I will try to keep him away from baby as much as i can though.
