Is my baby big or normal size?

Tomorrow I'll be 38 weeks, &when we went to our appt today, our baby weighed 6 lbs 11 oz. I thought that was a nice size, but my Facebook friends keeps saying he's big &I'm going to have a 9 lb baby. I can honestly say that I'm scared now. :\ ..... Can he really gain that much in 15 days???? How much do y'all predict he'll weigh by his due date (1/6)?

I had my first at 37 weeks, she was 10lb 5oz. I think that sounds like a great size, not to big and not to small, jus average.(:

Your Baby Is Definitely At A Normal Size , I'll Be 39 Weeks On Friday & My Baby Is 5lb 4oz She's Considered Underweight  But I Mean Your Baby Gain That Much Weight In 2weeks But I Doubt He's Gonna Get That Big But Then Again Boys Gain A Lot Of Weight So Don't Be Scared:)

Ok I'm 39 weeks pregnant and was told from 37 weeks that I was measuring 41 weeks! I had a growth scan last week which confirmed my baby is in fact measuring 41 weeks... And from the sized. They said she weighs 8lbs and since I'm going all the way to 40 weeks, I panic that she will be about 9 lbs!! But the doctor who spoke to me after scan said that the scans over exaggerate so not to worry. I bet your baby will be tiny :) and I also bet my baby will be under 8lbs.... Or I pray haha

He's about average. By 40 weeks he'll be around 8lbs. Their weight is just an estimate so don't be alarmed. I'm 37 wks with a 7lb baby supposedly.
