Itching

I am about 4 months pregnant and this week my boobs have been insanely itchy (it has been worse than a poison ivy itch). About a day or a day and a half after the itch started I broke out in a pretty bad rash basically all over my front and sides (but it is severe on my boobs) and has not gone away or even gone down over the past few days. My doctors office is closed this week so I have to wait until next week but am hoping for a home remedy in the mean time. Anyone else have similar issues?  What did you find worked best to relieve the itch? Did anything work to make the rash go away?
Thanks in advance!

Dont scratch bc it causes horrible stretch marks. Try palmers cocoa butter and gently massage your boobs with it and you can also try Vaseline and dothr same with this. I am 34 weeks and i been doing this my whole pregnancy for my boobs and also my stomach bc i got itchy from there to. It worked for me

I really think you should try calling OB.  There's also an itching condition called cholestasis that can cause pregnancy complications.  Good luck.

Try soaking in tub with aveeno colloidal oatmeal bath.  It's a pouch that you add to the bath water.  If I were you I'd add 2 pouches. It's good for all skin issues, hives, poison ivy, etc.  And yes es my OB said Benadryl is ok.  Zyrtec & Claritin are also on my safe med list. I can't believe your OB wouldn't have an after hours number to page the doc.  Are you sure you can't call them/page them?  That's poor patient care. What do they expect you to do if you're bleeding or something? ER?   My doc office doesn't want me anywhere near an ER & the ER at my delivery hospital doesn't want anything to do with pregnant women--they refer directly to OB on call & admit to L & D floor for any urgent issues.  I hope you feel better mama.

I had a rash during my last pregnancy. Turned out to be PUPPS.  not fun.  The only thing that relieved some itch was grandpas pine tar soap. Good luck!

The rash and itch have gotten about 3 times worse today alone. I know there are a lot of medicines that are harmful to the baby. Does anyone on here know if Benedryl or other allergy meds are OK to take? At least something to get me through the night until the clinics open in the morning?
