Just had my first ultrasound

I'm 5 weeks 6 days my baby's heartbeat was 116 bpm it's bc it's tiny right now this will be my second child my first was a boy I'm wanting a girl so this can be my last but I feel it's gonna be another boy how can I tell by the heartbeat what it could be

I have 7 weeks left I am having a boy and his heartrate stays between 140-148  so don't always believe what you hear ..... do the baking soda test pee in a little cup and pour it slowly in a cup with your baking soda if it fizzles like pop it's a boy if it's flat it's a girl ..... mine bubbled and fizzed like crazy

Yes I did it was so tiny but sweet

It was 116 bpm low but normal for as tiny as the baby is I'm 5 weeks 6 days so we are close I'm expected to deliver September 7 my birthday is September 30 so I'm excited

U can always have a blood test done to see what the sex of ur baby is then to wait until u turn 20 week's

Old wives tale anything below 140 is a boy anything above 140 is a girl both mine was above and both mine are boys also you can't have the harmony test done in the UK unless it's to test for medical problems with the baby that might be passed down from you so if there are no risks they won't give you it look in to the nub theory for when you have your 12 week scan

Boys start to produce testosterone at about 10 weeks. I am 12 and a half weeks and my doctor did a harmony test and was able to tell me at 11 weeks what I was having so I didn't have to wait forever to find out. Ask your doctor about the harmony test to see if they can tell you if it's a boy or girl sooner than an ultrasound

I tried guessing this way too but if I followed the tales then technically my baby keeps changing gender lol we paid for a private scan when I was 16 weeks and 5 days because we couldn't wait either, none of the wives tales seem to be right, every pregnancy and person is different :(

We're having a girl, we were convinced it was a boy and I thought I'd never be lucky enough to have a girl so I kinda get how you might be feeling a bit. Don't know if they offer the harmony test over here in the UK, nobody has ever mentioned it anyway!

You can't tell gender by heartrate...

Well by looking online at the different ways to try to figure out the sex one was by the heart rate wasn't sure if that was all bogus seems it is it's killing me to know

Those are old wives tales, none of which have any scientific backing to them. They aren't reliable resources.
