Also if its still cold outside you can put food in cooler outside till fridge is fixed.
If you can get water. Put it on the stove in a pot. Boil. Fill tub wala.
My pipes froze last winter, from the street though. We went from January until march without water because the city said it was the landlords responsibility. this year, we've kept the sink in the basement running so it doesn't happen again.
Yeah, our pipes burst last year and we replaced them with some that were supposed to be more insulated and harder to freeze. We left all the faucets dripping but somehow they still froze. It got really cold. You could literally ice skate in my pool right now lol.
Prepare yourself . . . frozen pipes are not the big issue, when they thaw, they can burst and you will then have a flood. This has happened to me twice--- once when not at home and it caused a second floor ceiling to fall down to the first and the other in the middle of the night when I luckily ran to the basement and shut off the main water valve.
Frozen pipes are a reason to call a plumber.
In the future, drip a small drip out of every Fawcett, open up cabinets, etc.
Hope your pipes don't burst when things begin to thaw and very sorry about your frig. that stinks!
Move to AZ! The high is 63* today :)
My water pipes are frozen too!! Nothing is coming out of mine:-( waiting on the husband to come home and put a blow dryer to them. I HATE this winter with a passion! Just want it to stay above freezing for crying out loud!
I am not liking this weather my pipes are froze and I'm using Eletric heat till my gas company can fix the gas leak in my gas heater valve. Both will be fixed tomorrow but a hot bath dose sound good now..... but I hear ya its good to get a good rant in.
