Leg cramps! Painful!

I woke up last night having the worst leg cramps. It did get better to the point where I could go back to sleep. My leg has hurt all day today still feeling like it's cramping a little bit. I've heard leg cramps could be more painful during pregnancy. Is it normal for your leg to still be this sore so long after it first started to cramp? Is is anything to worry about?

Completely normal unfortunately. Try and drink lots of water and bananas help. It's awful pain and can take ages to go. One of the joys of pregnancy :)

A trick that always works for me is, as soon as I feel my calf start to cramp I stand up. It goes away instantly and isn't sore at all. I make sure to walk around for a minute or so after so it doesn't come back.
And yes, water and bananas help a lot too to prevent them.

I used to get them when I would wake up in the middle of the night and point my feet/toes to stretch. Now I make sure when I stretch I only flex my foot back. If I feel one coming on I flex my foot really quickly, I haven't had one since. There's something about the shortening in the muscle when you put your foot down that triggers it.

I had one the other night, it was fine in the morning but then I was on my feet walking around for about 8 hours that day. When I woke up the next morning the muscle was sore and knotted and hurt for 2, almost 3 more days.

Drink a lot of water and eat some bananas.

I woke up in the middle of the night a couple of weeks back from a horrible leg cramp. It took like 3 days for calf to feel normal again.

Try staying very hydrated it may help, I have had restless leg syndrome since around 26 weeks and it has been a challenge to deal with. Also an epson salt bath may help. Hope things get better
