Midwife??

Anybody know if midwives are covered thru insurance or estimated cost? I'm having my first babe and really don't feel that my OB is very good, my OB will come to my appointment do whatever needs to be done but doesn't explain or say move down.. kinda felt roughly handled. I know midwives are more supportive but unsure if they do ultra sounds cuz I do want to see the babe as well. Thanks in advance for responses :)

A midwife is covered thru my insurance, the gal I'm thinking about going to is a certified midwife as well as an OB/GYN. Do midwives help you more than just a regular OBGYN?

My insurance covered a midwife.  Your best bet would be to call your insurance company.

Midwives do preform ultrasounds, but I am not sure if they are covered under insurances. I know my midwife is just as good as and OB and my midwife seems to be covered under my insurance. Sorry couldn't be anymore helpful.
