Here's what what friend said.

"Ya, tricare does not pay for tr's..... Only some military  hospitals cover the charge....  Balboa (in San Diego) Walter Reed (in Virginia) and base hospital at Ft.Lewis/McChord in Washington State..... Are the three that I know for sure that do.... I think there is one in either Texas or Louisiana and maybe the one in Hawaii ....
There are forums on the military.com website that people have written on that is where I got my info in the past"

Hope that helps:) I'm apart of a FB TR support group. Most of the women on there had there tr done at Chapel Hill. I had mine done at a hospital in Jackson TN. Others had local non tr specific Ob docs do theirs. All personal choice. Just be sure to do your research on the success rates of the clinics/docs. Good luck. Mine cost a flat rate of $4800 in 2012. Her fee now has gone up to $52/5400 last I saw on the website.

Actually. Thinking about it, they may have been in Waahington state at the time. Her DH was an active Marine then. I can check with her and get more info if you like.

I have a friend who had a reversal in a military hospital that was no cost to her. I believe it's only certain ones that will do it. I think she was in Califoria at the time. I had a reversal as well but we are not military so it wasn't covered by any insurance. Btw, I'm expecting my TR baby #2 this week:)
