I have. First was induced so I had meds and second was all natural. I recommend the all natural depending on pain tolerance.

I had to have an epideral with my 161st because I had to have an emergency c section, but I went through every contraction for 20 hours with no pain meds. Now I'm pregnant with my second, hopefully I can have a vaginal birth and I plan to not have pain meds. I hated the epideral :-(

natural labour lasting 14 hours which ended in an emergency c section first time, then normal labour which I got the drugs as soon as I got to the hospital the second time!! And - it ended in vontuse anyway, it should have been a section. So this one is going to be a planned c . Listen - don't get hung up about it, don't worry about the plan - it's easy to get all bent out of shape when it doesn't go according to your plan!  My sons are 9 & 10 and the way they were born has had no bearing on their life, or mine. You will soon forget about it. You may find your body behaves well during labour and he/she just plops right out! You may also find, you suddenly don't mind needles anymore :) but ultimately it won't matter as long as it's out and healthy. Trust me just let this fear go it's not something you'll forget but what you get for it will bless your life forever. Try to focus on the love. Easy to say on #3 of course, I felt the same on #1. Just breathe through the fear ;) good luck I hope it goes well.

Yea I was scared of needles to I was induced lasted 20 hours before giving in to the epidural, at that point I didn't even feel any needles. I'll try again to go without any epidural but being induced can be pretty intense pain

Had an epidural with my first and went natural with my second. I really preferred going natural. The pain isn't unbearable,it does hurt but the worst part was when they put stitches in. I think though that this time around I'm going to get some kind of mild pain killer or do a water birth.

If you mean induction, I've heard the contractions are more intense. If there's no induction, it's definitely not unbearable. The only pain I remember was the episiotomy. The rest was mostly dizziness and nausea.

I mean like unbearable? Because I'm really scared this is my first child. I'm terrified of needles so epidural is out the question. I'm trying to go all natural just so scared.
