Labor and it being gross

Since I've gotten pregnant I have encountered a lot of women that believe giving birth is a gross and disgusting process.. I was just wondering how many feel the same way and if you do why? Personally I believe it to be something us women do that is natural and is very rewarding in the end.. so just shoot me your opinions from both sides! Thanks a lot

Wow... Have they given birth before? They sound like the morons at my office who gossip and talk sh1t all the time because they have no lives.

Its a natural process that can be empowering or the exact opposite depending on how the birth itself goes. Either way its part of creating your beautiful lil one.

It seems to be more on the ugly side when I encounter ignorant or fearful people and especially those that have never gone through the process.

Current moms I encounter are always so reassuring even if it was a painful process but haven't ever said anything about it being gross.

The ignorant ones that haven't ever given birth like my office coworkers at my part time shouldn't breed anyway and I'm glad they thinks it's gross, painful, etc... Keeps them from having kids lol. ***** for my brother though, his wife is scared of pain..  But also of dogs, animals, etc... Lol

This is my first and I'm looking forward to giving birth and meeting my lil one. I know the process, what can happen, how painful it may be and hopefully it goes my way without intervention. When people hear my birth plan they can't believe it but I've done my research and want it a certain way.

I honestly wish they kept enemas as part of the process lol... I won't since the body usually cleanses itself but its an interesting notion if my body doesn't on its own lol

I'm guessing that's one of the gross factors, poop? My acquaintance realized while she was giving birth, its like pooping almost with all the pushing and what muscles were involved lol. Sh!t happens and everyone does it lol and if at a hospital or with midwife at home I'm sure they take care of that quick so no one really notices

I b paranoid all the time because the thought of the pain. this is my first too but I'm so looking forward to pushing my little one out. The time is getting closer for him to arrive and as much pain as I know I'm going to have I think natural birth is the most beautiful gift to women. It's a special moment for us and baby. so dnt let those ignorant ppl get to u. I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion but bringing life is no where near disgusting. Good luck to u and your little one ❤

I'm expecting my fourth any day now and have had huge differences in delivery with each. And I can only second the lady above opinions... even a bad delivery is certainly not gross... just another experience that helps you grow as a person ;-) x
