Name Decision

For the babys name we have decided on an 'official' and 'nickname'. Boys already sorted as Edward and Ted for short.  Need help with our girls. Thinking Elizabeth (Betsy) or do you think we could get away with Hannah Rose nickname Rosie.  Thanks in advance  ladies xx

I actually like Susannah a lot.   Love those classic names.

Thank you!  No she won't spend anytime after birth at the Rosie.  However babies born there are called 'Rosie babies' even have a Facebook group with the name! Now we are looking at other  names. Susannah maybe or Francesca. So difficult!hopefully if it's a girl we'll  just know :)

Too bad.  I think Rose Elizabeth is really lovely.  (The child is not going to spend her life in the vicinity of the birthing unit, presumably.)  It's possible that the biggest glut of Hannahs is past by now, maybe all of the Hannahs are age 10.

Elizabeth is my partners grandmother, Hannah Rose mine. Sounds like an odd reason not to go for Rose as a first name but the birthing unit is called the Rosie so I'm put off. Also concerned Elizabeth maybe used by Wills & Kate making it popular again. I don't know, maybe it's a boy  and all my over thinking is for nothing. Thanks :)

If you want Hannah Rose nickname Rosie, in order to avoid the glut of Hannahs out there, I'd go with Rose Hannah nickname Rosie.  And like avw says, Elizabeth could also have the nickname of Eliza, that is a little fresher than Betsy.  I assume you have already thought of Rose Elizabeth and decided against it for some reason?

Elizabeth is beautiful or even eliza.lizi or eli for short. definitely prefer elizabeth to hannah :) Edward is lovely.  I love the traditional names. I love jack for a boy and ivy or olivia for a girl.
