Dodgy midwife

Hi all I'm 16 weeks and went for a check up with midwife today, she done BP etc but when it came to checking babies heart beat I had to ask her to go easy, she was putting so much pressure on the doppler I was in agony! When I asked her to go a bit easier she got all defensive and said oh am I hurting u and I was like yes, she said oh we will just leave the heartbeat til ur next check it's very hard to find a heartbeat at this stage anyway! This is my 2nd pregnancy and I had a section with my first 16 months ago, she was rubbing the doppler across my scar too which was so painful! Has anyone else experienced anything like this? She also said at the end as long as u feel pregnant u should be fine! I just said I feel as pregnant as u can at 16 weeks! Needless to say I won't be going back near her, I just don't know whether I should put a complaint in or not!

If you feel she acted unprofessionally then make a complaint but don't get too upset about it. You don't need the stress. Just make sure you get a new midwife ASAP because this is supposed to be a happy stress free time for you and baby!

I had a midwife like that and I did make a complaint.  They generally stick together and make excuses for each other but still make a complaint hun
