No medical insurance!

So, I am due in August, I had to leave my job because I have placenta previa.  The only income I have is my husband's, but with medical they don't deduct taxes so it's over the income limit. He is already covered through his job. I can be added, but until December. So for the time being I do not qualify for the medical itself. I was told however that I did qualify for prenatal care but recently discovered that it was never mentioned to my case worker whom is a ghost because everytime I call she is never available. So my case was denied. I was wondering if I go on with the rest of my pregnancy without insurance.  Is it possible to run the medical bills once I am added to my husband's plan in December?

You will be able to qualify for Obama care. They cannot deny you for any preexisting conditions. They have different plans and credits to help you pay for your insurance based on what you make. However if you get a job let them know asap. We got screwed out of most of our tax returns. Long story. You cannot add the bills in December to the new insurance.  Give them a call the insurance helped us when we had a gap before our new insurance.

Yeah. So I decided to call the person who helped me submit my application in the first place because my case worker will not answer my calls. I tell the man what's going on. And yeah, To my surprise he didn't even put down that I was pregnant. He was talking to me in a way that it's my fault that I didn't mention it. I told him that it's wierd because he was the one who helped me submit the application. Embarassed, he said he was going to input into the system and filter anything else that needed to be changed. So now the process is starting over again and this time stating that I am pregnant.

Pregnancy is not a preexisting condition. This i know because with my last pregnancy I didn't have insurance for the first 5 months.  Then got insurance and it covered everything else.

Contact your local health department tell them youngster pregnant and would like to apply for prenatal Medicaid. They should tell you to come in with identification birth certificate proof of address and proof of any income. This would be hubby's last check stub

He should be able to add you to his policy now. You had coverage through your employer but lost it - that counts as a qualifying life change (same as a marriage or the birth of a child, a qualifying event makes you eligible to make plan changes outside of the open enrollment period). Have him talk to his employer's benefits specialist and if need be call the insurance company directly.

You can not add anything to your husband's insurance that occurs BEFORE you are insured.  If you had the baby aftet you got insured they can't refuse to cover it due to preexisting conditions but they won't go back and cover a birth that has already happened. You are talking about at least a 10,000 bill from the hospital if it is a normal vaginal delivery with a 2 day stay
Plus the bills from your doctor. I would try to find something else or get a personal policy for a few months.

But pre existing conditions don't matter anymore. Have you gone to the website to try?

No because it's a preexisting condition. You will not be able to include any medical use while uninsured through them.
