I'm thinking of just how to get the necessities we got used baby clothes and we're going to buy a bassinet for her to sleep in our bedroom because we really can't afford baby furniture right now and I'm having a baby girl btw!! :) thank you for your advice it calmed my nerves a little I feel like with so many new baby gadgets and devices I'm told baby need a million things that cost so much. I was just curious how a lot of other people do it!
When you go to your Dr apt you can talk to the social worker and they can help you get the items you need for your baby.
Hey hun don't worry about things like decorating a nursery I was in the same boat when my daughter was born she didn't even have her own room till a few months ago that my husband and I moved into a two bedroom and she survived just fine second hand clothes are great I'm using second hand clothing for my baby due in Nov. even though I can afford new clothes newborns grow insanely fast it isn't worth spending the money on new clothes just focus on getting a car seat crib and diapers ! Do you know what you are having?
We bought a lot of our baby stuff at yard sales, good will & salvation army. We did order a brand new crib & car seat because of changing safety regulations & recent recalls, but we shopped around and got really good deals through walmart.com. We were able to get the crib & mattress together for $119 & the carseat, stroller & diaper bag (all matching) for $139 with free shipping.
Im sorry I dint have any advice I just wanted to say im surprised they didnt star the word damn lol
Go to your local DSHS office. I get foodstamps and cash assistance. My fiance and I have also gotten most of our stuff for the baby from friends. Hand me downs are worth it espscially when baby is so young. I also get WIC.
That's good! I live in texas btw and I will look more into what programs they have available in this state but I've been looking with no luck so far
To be honest, I don't work due to the same thing and I went to the county building. They are giving me $380 in cash and $120 in food stamps. Try the county building. The $380 helps me out a lot since I am on section 8 housing so I only pay $31 per month. Then the rest goes to either food, baby things or sometimes my nails. Try that though. Its helped me
