Old wives tale turns out to be true!
Just thought I'd share some cool info I learned today, that I had always thought was just one of those crazy wives tales. Turns out that if you have bad heartburn, you really are more likely to have a baby with a full head of hair. It said that heartburn can be caused by having extra estrogen, which is also the same chemical responsible for the baby's hair growth. I thought it was pretty cool that something turned out to actually be true! Lol
When I was pregnant with my son I also had bad heart burn an the dr kept telling me geez your baby has 4 inches of hair and hes going to be over 10lbs... maaaan my baby was hecka bald weighed 7lbs 12 oz an was 22 1/2 incjes long.. same with my daughter she was bald too
I heard heart burn is caused by the lack of space and the pressure placed upon the stomach which then pushes up the acid more frequently. Especially w more acidic foods like tomatoes, peppers, etc etc
I didn't have heartburn with either if my previous pregnancies and both babies had heads full of hair, my S-i-l had really bad heartburn with both pregnancies one was completely bald and the other had basically peach fuzz, LoL
My mum had heartburn bad when she was pregnant with both me and my brother and we both were born with full heads of hair. I have had really bad heartburn with my son and hopefully he will be born with a full head of hair.
I didn't have heartburn with my first, and she came out with a ton of hair, and I have heartburn bad this time so we shall see!
Yea I had heartburn with my now almost four year old twins and they both had hair
Whats crazy is i havent had a bit of heart burn but my girl has a head full of long hair. Every ultrasound we had the dr was tripping over how long her hair is already. Im verrry thankful for not getting the heart burn!!
Did u have ur baby already? I get very bad heartburn so I hope he comes out with a lot of hair lol
