Oops...

So I'm in the middle of taking my 3 hour glucose test and got so nauseas that I ended up gagging/ dry heaving so bad that I threw up a tiny bit. I'm not sure if I should say anything. It was seriously the tiniest amount you couldn't even see it in the toilet but I could taste just it a little. Should I just keep going or come clean with the lab tech???

I would rather go through child birth without an epidural than do this awful thing again! Haha

gos the 3 hour *****! I had gestational diabetes during my first pregnancy so this time around they had me do the 1 hour at 6 weeks. I passed easily, which just means I'll have to take it again in a month. gag. I had elevated a1c levels before I got pregnant this time so they are keeping a close eye on it. I hate that stupid drink!

I'm still doing it. I have one more blood draw and I'm done. This is the worst thing ever, I have felt terrible and my baby completely stopped moving from the time I had the drink so a little over an hour into it they sent me to labor and delivery to get monitored, he started moving again about half way through that. I think it put him in a sugar coma,  the nurse said that she has never heard of babies not moving after the drink. I broke down in yhe middle of the hallway on my way up,  it's been somewhat traumatic.  I think I'm hangry..lol

When I did my 3 hour I threw up as well. They let me continue because they said as long as I kept most of it down I could.

I've heard of some people having it in the first trimester. The 3 hour test is miserable. My doctor told me to take a Zofran before drinking it and that's what finally got me to keep it down. I threw it up twice before that.

How far into the 3 hour were you?  If you were at 2 hours you likely didnt throw up much of the drink they make you take and it was likely bile.  If it was 10 mins after drinking it might affect the test.

Why is your glucose test 3hours long? When i did mines a couple weeks ago it was only a hour long. I would ask your doctor or midwife to be on the safe side.

Dam.n it! Lol. I really don't think that I will be able to do this again. I can't go a few hours without eating without getting sick and then to throw in that gross drink....ugh. ok I'll tell her.
