Just wondering, did you work til you had your baby or did you take a leave earlier than your due date? Or do you plan on working til you go into labor?

I worked up until I went into labor....choose this because u only get a certain amount of wks off for maternity leave and I want to spend all my time with my baby. I stay on the work schedule til I go into labor then I call my HR and inform them and my time off starts from there.....unless medically necessary I don't see why anyone would want to waste their maternity leave if ur healthy work til it's time!

I worked until I was 36 weeks. The pressure began to be too much and my job required me being on my feet and moving a lot. I had my baby two weeks after.

I worked until my midwives told me I wasn't allowed to go to work anymore. First baby that was 38 weeks when my blood pressure skyrocketed and my edema got really bad. Second baby it was only 30 weeks when my pile of complications got too serious and they insisted on light duty which my employer couldn't accommodate. I'm almost at 37 weeks now and just so bored I could die since I've been home so long... but they're right -when I think about the physically exhausting work that I do I realize that I wouldn't be able to do it without putting me and my little one at risk. Thank goodness for short term disability or we'd be in big trouble.

I'm a ftm so can't say I've worked until due date but I'm 35+3 today and still working full time 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday and plan to do so until my 41st week if I make it that far (I've applied for leave as of the 13th July and I'm due the 8th July lol)
My body is tolerating it quite well. I'm a pharmacy and dispensary assistant so I'm on my feet for 8-9 hours a day.
Ive been in the job for 4 years so my body is used to the work but anything can happen and may all of a sudden not be able to tolerate it anymore in a few weeks.

Just a waiting game I guess :)
