Pcos and pregnancy

Hey ladies! I'm about 8 weeks pregnant and have pcos.  Anyone else have any advice or stories they can share about  your experience with pcos and pregnancy?

I have pcos and no you will not be considered high risk unless there's other things going on.  You are however at a greater risk of gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia so watch what you eat and exercise if you can.  Good luck.

I have pcos and pregnant with my 2nd. I am not considered high risk. I don't have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or anything. Just overweight. I will ask my midwife next appointment about the high risk.

I thought I would be considered a high risk pregnancy but he didn't say anything I've been meaning to call and see if I need to keep my regular appointment to have my insulin checked or if they checked it at my first prenatal appointment but in the ultrasound the baby looked good right size and heartbeat was good have u had an ultrasound yet

My friend has it, her pregnancy was rough, at 36 weeks they found out the placenta had stopped giving the baby nutrition and had to do anything emergency c section and he was 3lb 15oz, stayed in NICU for a week...he is now my little chunker at 14lbs

I believe it makes it a high risk pregnancy. Did you talk to your doctor about it Katie?

By the way I'm twelve weeks and this is my first pregnancy since being diagnosed with it so it's all new to me

It Polly cystic ovarian syndrome which is high insulin and it stores on Ur ovaries causing cysts I had it before becoming pregnant not sure how my insulin is now I lost some weight and was on good track then got pregnant haven't had blood work done to check my insulin yet
